I graduated from Newcastle University in 2016 with a BSc in Computer Science, with a focus on human-computer interaction. My undergraduate project focused on helping older people translate dietary information into meals through the use of a recipe sharing platform, achieved by implementing a user-centred design process to develop a web application. This project inspired me to look further into the use of technology in public health.
In following this I have had a strong involvement in the DemYouth project at Open Lab. In this project I developed a cross platform application with the aim of helping to create conversation between younger carers of those with dementia and those they care for, through encouraging carers to create media to use as prompts future conversations.
In future research I would like to continue exploring the theme of technology in public health.
