React!

REACT

React! is a web app designed and developed to support teenagers who are at risk of anaphylaxis (severe food allergies) and their friends in learning about the signs of different types of reactions and what to do in such circumstances. The app itself is designed around a number of interactive films where decisions made by users during their viewing lead to a range of positive and negative outcomes for characters. The app also includes a variety of personalisation features, including the ability to share allergen and auto-injector information with friends for peer support and tools for linking the phone and app with the auto-injector to help teenagers remember to take it with them at all times.

The React! app is part of a collaboration with Dr. Neil Davidson and Dr. Gillian Vance of NHS Newcastle upon Tyne Foundation Trust.
