Abdulaziz Alderhami
Doctoral Trainee
I am a PhD researcher at Open Lab, Newcastle University.
Before joining Open Lab, I completed my master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) from Indiana University, USA. I am interested in using Ubicomp technologies and tools to empower and support those in need. My goal is to create technologies that could accommodate a diverse range of users in their daily activities and give them more access to services and information.
My research aims to investigate novel methods to engage disable communities in the design and decision-making processes of public services and spaces. Currently, I am investigating the challenges and barriers that people with disabilities encounter in the city and looking into ways that technology can support their participation in the design of the services they rely on every day.
