Abeer Aziz

I have a background in information technology and data analysis, and I taught undergraduates different disciplines in computing, such as programming, information security, and HCI.

After getting my masters from the University of Nottingham, I worked as a University Instructor for over a decade. With a demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry, I have developed a passion for leveraging technology to enhance education.

Currently, I am pursuing a PhD at Newcastle University, specializing in Human-Computer Interaction with a specific focus on the role of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) in higher education. My research aims to explore how AI can be effectively integrated into the educational landscape, fostering improved learning outcomes and personalized experiences for students. Beyond Academia, I enjoy travelling and exploring new parts of the country with my family.
