Christina Hawkes-Blackburn

My role as Operations Assistant supporting the Not-Equal project allows me to consider and reflect on issues of inequality in an increasingly technological society. It’s a great opportunity to be involved in the development and implementation of a social impact project which contributes to the shaping of our future digital society.

I have a broad interest in sciences with a background in Neuroscience and Toxicology. Most recently I have pursued an interest in microalgae, particularly toxic algae. I would like to develop my skills in enthusing others in science with the aim of pursuing a career in public engagement.

In my leisure time, I enjoy meditating, experimenting with craft activities and being amongst trees.
