I am currently working as a Research Software Engineer on the IDEA-FAST project. In this project, I research the requirements, design, technologies, and develop a suite of APIs/middleware to handle sensor data from clinical trials. I have more than seven years of working experience in the industry in multiple international software companies. Such a wide experience has given me a clear view of the challenges faced by the IT companies and in general by the application of IT in different projects.
Realising the importance of data-driven approaches in industry, I returned to the university and did my MSc in Advanced Computer Science at Newcastle University (2018-2019) with distinction. In my MSc thesis, I worked on the application of Machine Learning on biomedical images and their visualisation. I developed multiple deep learning models for solving classification and segmentation problems on eyes Retinal Images.
My international experience includes at Sage Headquarters (2019-2020) in Newcastle, Scott Logic (217-2018) in Newcastle, and at Bol.com in Utrecht (2015-2017), Mendix Company in Rotterdam (2014-2015), and OCLC Company in Leiden (2012-2014), the Netherlands. Looking into the future, I would like to develop methods for extracting knowledge from data on top of the collection of useful data and also automating such processes for the involved parties. In my spare time, I enjoy playing piano and painting.
