My MSc was focused on ethical digital practices, disaster recovery and business continuity. Before commencing my doctorate, I worked in industry, academia and supported digital start-ups.
In my doctoral research, I look at how academics’ autonomies rise through their teaching experiences with cloud computing and cloud-based services. I am interested in ways that autonomy is constructed in the frames of digital and professional ethics through the utilisation of emerging technologies. I am also interested in arts and digital graffiti as venues for expression.
In Newcastle University, I am part of the Open Lab Education Team and IDEA FAST Device Testing Group. I bring to IDEA FAST experience in developing digital solutions for healthcare providers and clinical research and establishing prosperous partnerships. I work with diverse software development teams and teach in Education and Computer Science.
